WORKER OF THE MONTH
Chad Bartchenfeld
Sophomore
Amery High School
Amery, Wisconsin
October 2008
Chad Bartchenfeld was named the "Worker of the Month" for the month of October because of his unmatched work ethic while competing on the Amery High School Cross Country and participating in the Victory School of Wrestling Preseason Training Program.  Chad would come to wrestling practice in River Falls immediately following cross country practice or meets.  One evening, Chad arrived at Victory in his AHS Cross Country competition uniform following his personal record time at the conference meet.

On October 24th, Chad competed in the WIAA Sectional meet for AHS and left immediately following the event for Des Moines, IA, arriving very late in the evening.  The following morning, he was up by 5:00am for weigh-ins before earning All-American honors at the Preseason National Championships by placing 8th at 103 pounds.

Chad seeks out the best competition in the United States week after week and his drive to succeed will pay huge dividends this season.  Last year Chad qualified for the WIAA Individual State Tournament at 103 as a freshman and was a member of the Wisconsin Greco-Roman National Team that won the Cadet Dual National Championships.
